Wow, I feel really boring. I own nothing red (or purple or pink). Now that I'm back working I've expanded my shoe selection to some black leather slip ons and brown suede loafers.

Isn't it funny, Maggie, how when you clean a room (or space) you just want to spend all of your time there. It is such a great feeling. I think we're going to concentrate on purging this year. We've gotten a really great start the past couple of weeks but we need some spring weather to give us a little more incentive.

So, I would say I'm jumping on the cleaning bandwagon. It's an attainable goal for me. Especially since the DH is so psyched about it. The enthusiasm is contagious.

Tiff, I am forever organizing this little room. Can't seem to keep it straight, but right now the closet is so gorgeous I could keep the doors open and stare at it all day.

Yay, Steph! Get that bag out.

Kelly, pink is okay! I used to have several pairs of pink shoes, and lime green, too. Purple. Forest green. Now all I've got is dull black and brown, altho my summer sandals and flip flops are colorful.

I have red shoes… A LOT OF ‘EM…but no handbag. Though I used to have three. Lately it’s been pink taking over my handbags. Hmmmm…I wonder if that means anything about the current state of my personality. My closet could use some help.

I want a red purse. My friend has this beautiful one from paris. A fine soft leather. sigh! One day.

And my closets get cleaned only to get messy again.

reflective for the new year… uhm… give me some warmth, less snow, less winter, and I’ll be more reflective. Right now all I want to do is bundle under the blankets.

Grr. Blogger ate my comment. let's see if I can remember...

JK, I have a ton of clothes but nothing I like. When I cleaned the closet, I actually put all the colors together---lots of red and black. Too many checkers games as a kid, I guess!

Janga, purple is good. It's the favorite color of kids and crazy people. I have a good-sized purple chunk in my closet. (we know we're young at heart, not crazy, right?)

Steph, I have 2 pairs of red sandals. Hard to believe I'll be wearing them in a few months---snow day here. Brr.

Gillian, yay to red Italian leather! I think my bags are fake leather, but they look good anyway.

Terri, I wish I had a file cabinet. I had to move the file milk carton into the closet cause I kept kicking it and wrecked my toes!

I own red handbag and red shoes. (I think I might have three pairs of different red shoes). Hmm, I think I’m ready to tackle losing weight and writing more. I definitely have very firm goals in mind in terms of writing, so let’s hope by this time next year, they’re coming true.

Hi Maggie. I’m trying to think of something thoughtful and reflective to say about starting a new year, but I’m sick of it already … and just feeling sick. blah. But don’t get me wrong, I’m looking forward to this new year. Finishing this book is just the beginning of my goals for 2009. It’s going to be a challenge for me and I like a challenge. Um, mostly.
Now for the closet…I’m starting off as a guest author signing books at a charity event this February, which is going to be awesome, but I have nothing to wear! So that’s my other challenge right now. It might not seem like much, but when my wardrobe choices include in basic black dress pants or sweats, that’s huge LOL

I own red shoes but no handbag. I need to get on that! And isn’t it interesting how closet cleaning becomes educational…LOL!

My resolution list is long but I really need to tackle my financial organization. I’ve been saying this for two years…this needs to be the year it gets done.
