Back to School

I celebrated by watching Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall. While my school is nothing like the gray, dismal place depicted (and as far as I know, we do not grind up kids for burgers), I do question at times the efficacy of public education especially after i read an interesting article here : http://www.wentworthcollege.com.au/chc52015-diploma-of-community-services. It certainly hasn’t seemed to work on a lot of adults I encounter. šŸ˜‰

So it’s back to waking up at the crack of dawn to write before work. 15,000 words to go!

Kiddo went back to school today. She was so excited, though she made me walk in with her and meet her teacher. She makes me do this ever year. It wouldn't have been so bad, but it was raining and I didn't have an umbrella. *sigh*

I'm glad she's back in school. As an only child, she gets lonely.

Here's to that final 15K words!

I admire your work ethic, Maggie. Getting up early sounds like cruel and unusual punishment to me. I'm confident that you'll get the 15K words written.

The four-year-old grand would agree with you on the deficiencies of public education. He's disgusted that he he's been in pre-K a month and his teachers haven't taught him to read yet. šŸ™‚

You go, Maggie! I don't know where you get all your energy.

My kids are back in school and enjoying every bit of it. Definitely not their mother's kids. I'm thinking of looking into alien encounters around the times I gave birth. I HATED school. All I can say is Thank God they don't!

I have managed to start my own back to school routine and have started walking (on the days I don't crawl back into bed after I wave them off):)
