Zombies? Zounds!

Elizabeth vs Darcy: She certainly did not hate him. No; hatred had vanished long ago, and she had almost as long been ashamed of ever wishing to drink the blood of his severed head.
True love, yes?
Over 80,000 words on Any Wicked Thing! But I’m not drinking blood from severed heads to celebrate yet.

I've heard from several people this book is hysterical. I'll take their word for it.

Did you know there's one coming out in which Mr. Darcy is a vampire?! Really. It's called Mr. Darcy, Vampyre.

The "y" makes all the difference. Yay for 80K!!!

I don't think I'll ever be able to read this book. There's just something about it that says sacrilege to me lol — also, like Tiff, I really hate zombies

I have struggled to finish it, Terri and Kris. It's very, very clever in spots, and the language is so completely Austenish, that's a remarkable feat in itself. But I too think Jane Austen is extremely pissed off what with all the springboards she's provided for others to make money off her. I usually don't read Austen offshoots for this very reason, but the premise of this was too weird to resist.I figure I can donate it to my h.s. library—it may be the closest some kids ever get to Jane, LOL.
