She wouldn't let me change the station when we were driving in her car---she's addicted! Irish, I haven't watched soaps in ages, but my girls were big Days of Our Lives fans. When we'd go to the beach in the summer, they had to get back home by 1 to watch it, LOL. Julie, my oldest daughter found a radio station that plays Christmas music 24/7 from Thanksgiving until Christmas. Wow! First Guiding Light now ATWT. I watched those soaps for a lot of years. I haven't watched one in a long, long time but still it seems very odd that they're all dying out. I know what you mean Maggie about watching them when you were younger and that being what's put you on your road to romance. I was a Luke & Laura junkie back in the day. As for Xmas shopping. What's that? I had the foresight to buy a couple of gifts a few months ago but have gotten pretty much nowhere since. My DH and I schedule a shopping day every year and this year it's next Thursday. We don't even have a game plan yet, so I'm kind of getting scared. The problem is that our kids are getting to the point where everything on their list is either inappropriate or way too expensive. I have no back up plan. That's what I'll be working on for the next six days. I'm also getting carpeting installed next Wednesday so we haven't decorated inside yet. Kind of a relief for me but they already think I'm scrooge around here cause I hate all the mess so I'm keeping quiet on that. I love the holidays but it takes a lot out of me. Nope. I bought the last two lengths of it at my grocery store. I've given my ornaments to my oldest daughter, so I just do a mini-tree now, which is an enormous relief. It might get a little confusing, but at least you're having fun with it. I have the next four days off, so I'm hoping to get my outside decorations done this long weekend. First I have to shop for some new lights because some of mine went out last year and I had no luck following the directions to replace bulbs to get them working again. I don't put up a tree since it's just me so that's no problem, but I like to decorate outside. It's so nice to come home in the evening to the festive glow of the Christmas lights.
